What To Wear

Cotton shirts, skirts and khaki shorts or pants. Always carry a jacket, warm sweater/fleece
and socks, especially for early morning game drives. Additionally, one can pack safari hats, sun
cream, sun glasses, insect repellent and binoculars.

Health

Always check with your travel agent at the time of travel what you should take into account. Vaccines commended for travellers to Africa include (but not limited):

Covid-19 | Yellow fever | Tetanus | Diphtheria | Polio | Typhoid | Hepatitis A | Hepatitis B | Rabies | Meningitis

Certificates are required for entry into, ortravel between, some African countries. Several of these vaccines require more than one dose or take time to become effective. Seek advice on immunization well in advance, best 6 weeks before departure. In Kenya, excellent medical facilities are available in Nairobi but at a fee.

There is no free health care provided. Our camp has a doctor and nurse at call but in case of specialized treatment, evacuation has to be arranged at a cost.

Insurance And Liability

Please check the validity of your insurance against personal injuries and any loss. Mara Elatia will not accept liability against injury or loss.

Major credit cards are accepted in most hotels and restaurants in Kenya. Mara Elatia Camp accepts Visa, MasterCard, Amex and PayPal.
